Welcome

We provide nursery education and childcare in nursery sessions for children from 3 years up to school age, and out-of-school childcare in Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club for children age 3 to 11. The nursery accepts up to 26 children at each nursery session, and up to 30 at After-school clubs. We are proud of our excellent reputation and we have been in operation since 1981 (formerly St Agnes Playgroup). We pride ourselves on being a "family" organisation - the parents of some of our present nursery children and some of our staff attended in the early days! The nursery is a company limited by guarantee, and a registered charity.

The board of directors includes parents whose children attended, so that the services provided reflect the needs of the local community.

Learning and fun go hand in hand here at St Agnes. We offer a child centred approach in a secure, caring and well resourced learning environment which meets all individual developmental needs and underpins future learning. We celebrate each child's unique strengths, interests and learning styles.

We provide a well-rounded education effectively integrating the seven areas of learning, prioritising the Characteristics of effective learning. It is designed to prepare children for future learning by building solid foundations of knowledge and skills.

Our dedicated and experienced SENDco works closely with families, staff and external agencies to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment where all children feel valued and supported.
