Here at St Agnes we nurture children's growing minds. Think of a house, before you put in the fancy furniture or paint the walls, you need a strong foundation and a solid structure. In early years education we focus on the three "Prime Areas" Which are,
Personal, social and Emotional Development
Communication and Language
Physical Development
These act as crucial foundations for all future learning and development. Without feeling safe, secure and confident in themselves and their relationships, children cant truly engage with learning. "Neuroscience" or "Brain research" sounds very scientific but what it really means is that we are constantly learning about how children's brains develop and how they learn best. Something we hold at the very core of our practice is this
Children cannot access the "thinking part" of their brain if they haven't formed strong, secure relationships. This is why for us forming warm, nurturing and consistent relationships with your children is not just "nice to have" it is essential.
